Queen Camilla has provided a rare update on King Charles’ health as he continues to undergo cancer treatment.
The update was given during the Queen’s visit to open the new Dyson Cancer Centre at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, England.
“He is doing very well,” Queen Camilla told Macmillan Cancer Support worker Suzy Moon.
Very few updates have been provided on King Charles’ treatment, but the Queen has been quoted on several occasions giving a brief insight into her husband’s health.
In June, at the second annual Queen’s Reading Room Literary Festival, Queen Camilla told author Lee Child that King Charles was “doing fine except he won’t slow down and won’t do what he’s told”.
King Charles was diagnosed with cancer back in February following treatment for a benign enlarged prostate.
The Palace clarified that the King did not have prostate cancer, but another health issue was discovered.
King Charles postponed all public-facing duties for three months, per doctors’ advice, before resuming appearances on April 30.
After King Charles resumed duties, Buckingham Palace released a statement saying the decision was made “in the hope it may assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer”.
