One Direction Singer Liam Payne Found Dead In Argentina

Former One Direction singer Liam Payne died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Argentina, according to emergency services.

The 31-year-old British musician was staying at the hotel CasaSur in Palermo, Buenos Aires with his girlfriend. 

Police, firefighters and ambulances attended the scene. It’s believed that Payne fell from around 13 or 14 metres and suffered “very serious injuries incompatible with life.”

Citing officials, local newspapers La Nacion and Clarin reported that before Payne fell, police were called to the hotel responding to an emergency call that cited “an aggressive man who could be under the effects of drugs and alcohol.”

Liam Payne was a part of the world famous former pop band One Direction, alongside Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson.

The boy band rose to fame on the British version of the X Factor music competition show in 2010. The group broke up in 2016 as its members decided to pursue their solo careers.

Payne had a son in 2017, who he parented with former Girls Aloud singing group member Cheryl Cole.

In recent weeks, Liam has been documenting his travels in Argentina and attended the concert of his former bandmate, Niall.
