No Signs Of Missing Titanic Submarine

The New York air national guard is now assisting with search and rescue efforts as the missing Titan submarine has transitioned into an underwater operation.

The US Coast Guard rear admiral John Mauger told CNN that the previous search and rescue had primarily focused on the water’s surface and the air.

“Our thoughts as we continue on with this search are with the crew members and their family members right now. If there’s any chance, we’re going to work as hard as we can to make sure we locate that submersible.”

All five individuals who are stranded on the Titan submarine have been identified, including a father and son and a British billionaire.

The individuals are Hamish Harding, Stockton Rush, Paul-Henry Nargeolet, Shahzada Dawood, and his son Suleman.

Four additional vessels and five remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) have been deployed to facilitate the expanded search.

Oceangate, the owner of the Titan submersible, stated on its website in 2019 that the vessel does not adhere to conventional industry standards. The company justifies operating outside regular safety regulations to foster innovation.

Lloyd’s Register, a specialised engineering and technology company in the maritime industry, says that submersible classification is contingent on strict adherence to operational restrictions and the proper maintenance of equipment to comply with regulations.

“When OceanGate was founded, the goal was to pursue the highest reasonable level of innovation in the design and operation of manned submersibles. By definition, innovation is outside of an already accepted system,” the company said on its website.
