Microsoft Outage Brings Businesses To A Halt Worldwide

Businesses across Australia and the world have been brought to a halt by IT issues, believed to be caused by a Microsoft Update.

Microsoft laptops suddenly restarted across Australia on Friday afternoon. Companies including supermarkets, broadcasters and airlines have all been impacted by the outage.

Major services impacted in Australia include MyGov, NBN, Centrelink, ASX, Qantas, and Commonwealth Bank. Several media services including Netflix, Facebook, Instagram, Nine, Foxtel, and ABC are also affected.

Microsoft 365 is also down, with some users not able to access OneDrive, Teams, and more.
