Melbourne Doctor Killed After Home Invasion In Doncaster, Melbourne

A medical centre in Melbourne’s east is grieving the loss of one of its doctors, identified as the victim of a fatal home invasion.

The Box Hill Superclinic confirmed that Dr Ash Gordon, a well-loved and respected member of their team, was found dead on Eildon Street in Doncaster in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The 33-year-old physician was discovered less than a kilometre away from the scene of an aggravated burglary on Sargent Street, Doncaster, which occurred shortly before his body was located. 

The Box Hill Superclinic expressed their sorrow on their website: “We regret to share the shocking news that our beloved colleague has tragically passed away following a home invasion. We cannot imagine what his family and loved ones must be going through as our team shares in their grief.”

Police released a statement on Saturday, acknowledging the tragic circumstances surrounding Dr Gordon’s death. 

Inspector Carlie Kohler expressed condolences: “This is a tragic set of circumstances, and our thoughts are with his friends, family, and community, and we will continue to support the community through this terrible time.”

While the homicide squad is actively investigating the case, no arrests have been made so far.
