Police have charged a man with the alleged murder of a 24-year-old in a suspected gangland shooting outside of a Sydney home in May.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with the alleged murder of Marvin Oraiha in the drive way of his home in Elizabeth Hills at around 4PM on May 22.
Police located two burnt-out cars shortly after the shooting in Bonnyrigg Heights and Green Valley.
After releasing footage of two persons of interest to the public, detectives from Strike Force Hackenburg were able to action a warrant on a Roselands property on Wednesday where they arrested a 22-year-old man.
The man was charged with car theft, possession of an unauthorised pistol, murder and taking part in a criminal group.
He is set to face the Bankstown Local Court on Thursday.
Following the man’s arrest, police actioned a number of search warrants at several locations across Sydney where they seized weapons including a Taser, extendable baton and gel-blasters.
Police also seized drugs, cloned registration plates and $3,000 in cash.
Investigations into the alleged murder are ongoing.
