A man accused of stealing a family’s car with a toddler in the back at Dandenong has been charged.
The 24-year-old is accused of stealing the black Kia Carnival from Cleeland Street on Sunday afternoon while the boy’s father was arguing with another driver.
The little boy was found safe at a supermarket in Ferntree Gully on Sunday night and has since been reunited with his family.
The car was later found dumped in Coldstream.
The man faced Melbourne Magistrates Court on Tuesday night charged with child stealing, theft of a motor vehicle, unlicensed driving and commit indictable offences whilst on bail.
