Australia’s most decorated Olympian, Emma McKeon, has retired from competitive swimming.
The Gold Coast swimmer won fourteen medals across three Olympic games including a record six gold medals.

The 30-year-old announced her retirement on Instagram.
“Leading into Paris, I knew it would be my last Olympics, and the months since have given me time to reflect on my journey,” McKeon wrote.
“Now I am excited to see how I can push myself in other ways, and for all the things that life has in store.”
McKeon said previously that her last Olympics would be Pariso 2024, where she scored her sixth and final gold medal.
Her six golds have made her number one in Australian Olympic history, ahead of Ian Thorpe, Kaylee McKeown, and Mollie O’Callaghan.
