New data shows Australian Tesla car sales have plummeted more than 70 per cent in February.
The data was taken right after Elon Musk’s apparent fascist salute at a Donald Trump inauguration rally.

There were also broader trends in the market that saw 10,000 less electric vehicles bought in February as more drivers opt for hybrid models.
There was also a surge in cheaper Chinese versions.
But Tesla’s decline was bigger than what its competitors experienced.
More Tesla drivers are seen using stickers on their car reading “Anti Elon Tesla Club” and “I bought this before Elon went crazy.”
Matthew Hiller, the owner of Mad Puffer Stickers, said demand for his stickers had been strong since the US election but “has been nothing short of incredible” since the salute.
“I’m seeing sustained sales of 500+ a day from mostly America, but one fifth of those are international orders,” Hiller said.
