21-Year-Old Man Charged With Domestic Violence Murder In Sydney’s West

A 21-year-old man has been charged with domestic violence murder after allegedly slaying a 21-year-old woman in Sydney’s west on Monday afternoon. 

Emergency services swiftly responded to a share home on the Great Western Highway at around 1:40pm, discovering a woman with two stab wounds on her chest.

Despite the paramedic’s extensive efforts to save the woman, she died at the scene.

NSW police have launched a search for the man, Jeremaia Tuwai, whom they believed to be in a domestic relationship with the woman.

Detective Superintendent Trent King said: “It’s alleged that a male in a domestic relationship with this person is the perpetrator of this incident and had caused those injuries to the female.”

“He is now wanted in relation to her death,” Superintendent King said.

The police stated yesterday that neither the man nor the woman had any prior contact with the authorities regarding domestic violence issues.

Following extensive investigations, Mr Tuwai was taken into custody at 7:10pm on Monday and is scheduled to appear in Penrith Local Court on Tuesday.
