Wet Leg discuss being “totally bamboozled” by Harry Styles

by Cameron Adams

Chart topping UK duo Wet Leg were “bamboozled” when Harry Styles requested they be the opening act on his 2023 Australian tour.

“It just doesn’t make any sense,” Wet Leg’s Hester told New Music with Linda Marigliano. “We feel totally bamboozled. We’re obviously really excited and honoured. Because honestly Harry Styles could ask anybody to come on tour with him.”

Listen now:

The duo, from the Isle of Wight, blew up last year with their debut single Chaise Lounge.

Their self-titled debut album entered the UK and Australian charts at No.1 this year.

Harry is such a fan of Wet Leg he covered their single Wet Dream for a UK radio session.

“How does he know who we are?’,” Rhian said.

“It was so weird when we heard his cover of Wet Dream. We were all in the bus together, it was like ‘Is this happening?’

“We need to have some serious chats when we finally meet him,” Hester added. “Like, what are you playing at! What are you doing! How did it come to this!”

Wet Leg told Linda they would be happy for Harry to cover more of their songs.

“I want him to do a cover of all our songs just to see what they sound like,” Rhian said. “We should definitely swap sets.”
