“Perhaps Not” Chris Cheney On Whether The Living End Would Have Been Successful If They Launched Now

by Cameron Adams

The Living End’s Chris Cheney admits he’s not sure how the Living End would fare if they were starting out now.

The chart topping rock band formed nearly 30 years ago and their hit Prisoner of Society became the highest-selling Australian single of the 90s.

However singer Chris says the band may struggle to get attention if they formed now, due to short attention spans and the large quantity of music on offer.

“You can be very arrogant and naive and think we’re a great band, we write good songs and we play well on stage,” Cheney told new podcast These Days on Triple M Rock.

“But it’s just not about that anymore.”
