To celebrate International Women’s Day, Dannii Minogue has hand-picked the groundbreaking women who powered their way through pop in the 90s.

“You can’t go talking about girl power without talking about arguably the most influential pop act of the decade,” Dannii says, citing the Spice Girls for their trailblazing attitudes and fierce pop hits.

Dannii pointed out how the Spice Girls sacked an early manager for not making things happen fast enough, then sacked their manager at the height of their fame to take more control over their career.

The five women also hand-picked the team they’d co-write their biggest hits with and created personalities which are still hailed – and imitated – nearly 30 years later.
