Finnish DJ Darude explains why Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese should not have used his infamous, Eurodance hit Sandstorm in his latest political campaign.
Sandstorm has taken the world by [sand]storm in recent years resurfacing as an internet meme phenomenon, which the Labor government decided to leverage off on TikTok during the 2022 Australian federal election.
“I don’t want to get into Australian politics because I know not much about it” Darude explains referring to the since deleted TikTok.
“When politicians use [Sandstorm] for their own cause, then that’s not right”
