Jason Akermanis and Ben Cousins are arguably two of the most entertaining AFL players the game has seen.
But it’s the way Cousins has turned his life around after “he nearly died 10 times” that has Akermanis in awe.
(WE’VE TIME STAMPED IT FOR YOU)
The former Lion told B105’s Stav, Abby and Matt that Cousins is really committed to “turning his life around” after a long and public battle with drug addiction.
“Last time I saw him he was still an addict so he was all over the shop,” Akermanis said.
“But he looked really good, really with it. We all want Ben to go well.”
Cousins’ big comeback came after he took a job presenting the morning sports bulletin on Channel 7 in Perth.
“It shows how big he is in Perth, if I did that I certainly wouldn’t be reading the news!” He joked.
The Brisbane Lions are set to play Collingwood at the MCG this Saturday in the 2023 AFL Grand Final.
Stav, Abby and Matt are on Brisbane’s B105 weekdays from 6am-9am or you can catch up anytime via the LiSTNR app here!
