In Australia, Denise Drysdale is a house hold name, entertainment icon and Gold Logie winner who has been keeping us entertained both on stage and on screen since she was a young girl.
What you might not know about Denise is that she is also Jess Rowe’s best friend, her nickname is Ding Dong and despite her career in the public eye, she is actually quite shy in person.
Denise also has a cracking sense of humour and plenty of hilarious stories to tell including what the Logies were like in 70’s.
According to Denise, there was no shortage of drinks on the tables back then which resulted in some pretty interesting behaviour.
“Most people were ratbags and thank God they didn’t have all the cameras and everything,” Denise said.
“So, everybody used to get absolutely tipsy.”
In this episode of Jess Rowe’s Big Talk Show, Denise shares her hilarious story about the 1970’s Logies, which was so chaotic it resulted in a complete change in the rules for all future Logie awards.
