A police officer is in critical condition after being hit by a car and dragged in Western Australia.
According to police, the officer had been attempting to stop a vehicle with allegedly stolen plates when he was struck and dragged on Ascot Place in Perth at around 1AM on Thursday morning.
The officer was given CPR by colleagues before being transported to Perth Royal Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
Police arrested three men in relation to the incident a short time later.
The three men are believed to be assisting police with their inquiries.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
