We’ve been calling him an Aussie legend for years, but now Hamish Blake has formally been recognised as one after receiving the prestigious Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).
The radio, podcast and TV personality was listed amongst the 2024 King’s Birthday Honours List for his contributions to the arts as an entertainer, and to the community.
“I am of course extremely honoured, and now feel very guilty I didn’t even get the King a birthday present,” Hamish responded.
SCA Chief Content Officer, Dave Cameron added “Huge congratulations to Hamish on this award today. It is truly deserved recognition of all that Hamish has contributed to the industry during his incredible career to date as a radio host, podcaster, TV presenter and author, including over two decades with SCA and LiSTNR.”
In April, Hamish & Andy topped Australia’s podcast charts for a record-breaking 20th time. Catch up on Hamish & Andy and Hamish & Andy’s Remembering Project below!
