“They Were Goners Really, So We Had To Try Something” Dr Richard Harris’ Incredible Story Of The Tham Luang Cave Rescue

Dr. Richard Harris is an Australian anaesthetist and cave diver who played a crucial role in the Tham Luang cave rescue. He went over to Thailand where he incredibly dived 2.5 km through a cave to reach 12 children and their soccer coach who were gravely stuck.

Richard talks to Flan, Ali and Spida about his incredible experience and how he dived for 3 hours to get into the cave and then had to anaesthetise the children to be able to take them back through the cave one by one.

“It was really a last desperate measure, because these children were going to die in the cave. You know the rains were on their way back and once the monsoons returned there was zero chance of even being able to dive into the cave again.
So, they were goners really”.

Richard is about to release his own book “The Art Of Risk” which will be at your local book shop July 5th.
