Australian actor Russell Crowe and star of the new supernatural horror film The Pope’s Exorcist surprised Bec & Soda with his generosity MID-INTERVIEW!
What was a quest to get Russell to say “I’ve got my hands on Bec & Soda’s Buns” turned into an emotional donation that had Bec in tears.
HOW MUCH DID RUSSELL CROWE DONATE?
Amongst nervous laughs from breakfast co-host Rebecca ‘Bec’ Morse, Russell probed further into KickStart For Kids asking what the end goal was.
“This just sounds like a fantastic thing, and I’m happy to help out,” Russell Crowe said.
In early March, Bec & Soda pitched a BUN-believable idea to KickStart For Kids CEO Ian Steele to raise the money through hot-cross bun sales.
“The van will be used to distribute all these breakfasts for the needy kids,” Soda said.
Will Bec and Soda raise enough money to buy the van KickStart For Kids need?
Russell Crowe joined Hit Network’s Bec & Soda to talk about The Pope’s Exorcist, where he shared his thoughts with Bec about the horror movie genre.
“I think there are a lot of other elements in this which take it beyond being just a horror movie,” Russell said.
“There’s elements of the Da Vinci Code, there’s a little touch of Indiana Jones, but there’s also a lot of laughs.”
Inspired by the actual files of Father Gabriele Amorth, Chief Exorcist of the Vatican–The Pope’s Exorcist follows Amorth as he investigates a young boy’s terrifying possession.
Amorth ends up uncovering a centuries-old conspiracy the Vatican has desperately tried to keep hidden.
The Pope’s Exorcist is in cinemas April 6.
