Rapper Kid Cudi calls Diddy a ‘Marvel supervillain’ in court

Rapper Kid Cudi has testified in a New York court that Sean “Diddy” Combs, “looked like a Marvel supervillain” during a confrontation over a decade ago.

You might know Cudi for his hit songs ‘Pursuit of Happiness’ and ‘Day n Night’.

He told the court that his home was broken into, his dog locked in a bathroom and a Molotov cocktail thrown at his car.

He said this happened after Combs discovered he was dating his on-again-off-again partner, Casandra Ventura, during a lull in their relationship back in 2011.

In court, Cudi said he believes the rap mogul was behind the attacks and that he ended the relationship with Ventura, out of concern for their safety, believing Combs to be “violent.”

He says after the incident, the two rappers met with Cudi, alleging Diddy was standing “with his hands behind his back like a Marvel Supervillain.” He said at the time, Diddy denied any involvement with the firebombing.

Cudi told the court they crossed paths again years later, and Combs offered him an apology, which he accepted.

His testimony comes as Combs faces federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, linked to alleged abuse and coercion of men and women, including Ventura, at drug-fuelled parties known as “Freak Offs.”

Combs has pled not guilty to the charges.
